Bossier City Travel Diary

For my mother-in-law’s birthday we went over to Bossier City, Louisiana! It’s amazing how many trips the hubbs and I have been on in the last year! From July 2018 to now we’ve been to Antigua, Las Vegas, Cozumel Mexico, San Jose Cali, and now Bossier City Louisiana. And I am LOVING it!!! Traveling is just so much fun! I enjoy trying new foods, seeing new sites, and having new experiences. I’m already starting to look for our next adventure (suggestions welcome! 🙂

Anyway, Bossier City is on the Red River and gambling is legal there. So most of the trip was spent playing in casinos. The favorites were Margaritaville and Harrah’s Louisiana Downs. My father-in-law just might be the luckiest person alive! He was doing nothing but winning. Margaritaville also has a bar where we did some dancing and celebrating!

There is also The American Rose Center not too far from Bossier. It is a 118-acre collection of roses and gardens. They are the largest park dedicated to roses and it is simply beautiful! The roses are best during Mid-April to Late-May and Mid-September to Late-October so I highly recommend going during those times.

We stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott and it was BEAUTIFUL! The room had a kitchenette with granite counters, a super comfy bed, and a nice, big shower. They provided breakfast ranging from cereal and yogurt to sausage and pancakes. YUM!

Lastly, if you’re going in the summer, definitely pack for hot weather! I wore this super cute short and off the shoulder top from Walmart one day and it was perfect for the heat and humidity. And then this adorable purple dress from Target another day!
